netropolus: Wireless Thermostat system (1 Receiver & 1 Transmitter)

Essential Information

Consists of 2 pieces: the "Receiver" unit (above, right) typically replaces your current Thermostat; you can place/mount the "Transmitter" unit (i.e., the Thermostat) in any room.
7 Day Programmable with 4 time periods per day and holiday mode
Backlit display shows large numbers as well as the heating/cooling set point, and room temperature
Can be manually operated or programmed for energy savings
Up to 3 additional Thermostats (for a total of 4) can be used with one Receiver unit
Transmits up to 500 feet, through walls and floors

This kit consists of two parts, a thermostat and a receiver. The thermostat is a wireless, battery operated unit that can be placed in any location in your home (up to 500ft. from receiver) and will transmit radio signals to the receiver. place the thermostat where temperature control is most important to you — your bedroom, the boss's office, a baby's room, etc. The thermostat runs off of 2 AA lithium batteries (included). The Venstar Wireless Thermostat can be mounted to your wall, carried in your hand, or set on a table or shelf using its built-in easel stand.

There are several ways that you can install the wireless thermostat system:
Single-Zone Application: you can directly replace your existing thermostat with the Receiver unit, and then place the thermostat in the room where it is best for whole-house temperature control.
Basic Multi-Zone Application: You can replace your current thermostat with the wireless Receiver, and add up to 4 wireless Thermostats. The wireless Thermostats can then be placed in any room desired. The Receiver unit will act as the traffic cop, making sure that the A/C compressor has a 5-minute delay between calls for A/C.
Advanced Multi-Zone Application: In addition to your current thermostat, you'll connect the wireless thermostat's Receiver AND your current thermostat's wires to a multi-zone HVAC Controller. The multi-zone HVAC Controller, in turn, will be wired to your HVAC system. You can add up to 4 wireless thermostats to a wireless Receiver, with each wireless thermostat placed in a different room. The Zone Controller can also control electronic Dampers, so that rooms are cooled/heated intelligently.
