The diagram below shows the IO Linc Wireless Security system, with a
I/O Linc Leak/Flood sensor Kit and, the
IO Linc Telephone Alert Kit .
- The left side of the diagram shows a I/O Linc Leak/Flood sensor Kit, cosisting of: the Flood/Leak sensor that is placed next to a toilet. A 22 GA (gauge) wire is strung from the Sensor to I/O Linc - Low Voltage / Contact Closure Interface (the wire is included in the Kit). This Contact Closure Interface is plugged into the nearest wall electrical outlet.
- Let's say that you've installed the IO Linc Telephone Alert Kit (shown on the right side of the diagram) in your rec. room, near a telephone outlet and an electrical outlet. The kit consists of the I/O Linc - Low Voltage / Contact Closure Interface (the same interface as for the leak/flood sensor) and the Phone Dialer. You'll string the included 22 GA wire from the Contact Closure Interface to the Phone Dialer. Plug the Contact Closure Interface and the Phone Dialer adaptor into the nearest electrical outlet.
- As shown in the diagram's center, the sensor and the telephone dialer communicate with each other through your EXISTING ELECTRICAL WIRING!. So it is "wireless", since you did NOT have to run a wire from the Toilet in your bathroom to the rec. room. The wires you do run are short strings of LOCAL wires.
- Program the Phone Dialer with up to four (4) different phone numbers
- So, if you want to install a Leak/Flood detector system with Phone notification, purchase 2 kits, namely: I/O Linc Leak/Flood sensor Kit and, the IO Linc Telephone Alert Kit. You can add as many I/O Linc Leak/Flood sensor Kits (as well as any other IO Linc sensor Kit) as you need. They'll share the SAME Telephone Dialer.
